Seize the Day!

'Seize the day!' That phrase came to me because that is exactly what my wish is for you. We all have a million choices to make each and every day but how many of them actually allow you to be your true self and allow you to grow and expand? I know how busy life can be and stopping to do internal work can seem like a waste of time but I assure you it is anything but. In today's blog post I am going to leave you with a couple of different visualizations that are easy to incorporate into your day and also leave you with newfound perspectives. These practices came from the book Good Morning Intentions by Britt Deanda and Tara Schulenberg (who are the cofounders of Eleveate The Globe.) Please look them over and heavily consider making them a part of your routine.

These short but powerful practices are to help with self-confidence and worthiness:

Affirmation- begin repeating this affirmation in your mind:

My uniqueness is my gift to the world, and by showing up as me, I heal myself and everyone around me.

Visualization

Picture your most confident and worthy future self. Who are you? What do you look like? Where are you? Who are you talking to? What are you saying? What kind of energy are you carrying? Let your mind get lost with this and see yourself so clearly that it almost feels real. Stay here for three to five minutes before coming back to your breath. Inhale deeply, hold your breath, then exhale and relax.

Nourishment

Make yourself mint tea to sip on while you get ready for your day. Mint is a plant that helps us feel better about ourselves because it brings joyful, light, bright, and fun energy to our bodies and our minds.

These short but powerful practices will help to stop comparison:

Visualization

Visualize yourself in front of you. Send yourself love and feel it pouring over you in a waterfall of pink healing light. Next, visualize anyone you compare yourself to or feel negative energy toward. See them as a reflection of you because the beauty you see in them is also in you! Send that same love and pink healing light to each of them. Lastly, picture yourself sending that love and healing pink light to everyone you come into contact with. Take a minute to imagine what the world would look like if everyone released competition and came together in unity and compassion. How would everyone treat each other? How would that feel? What would it look like if you engaged in this way?

Self-Care

Positive self-talk is an act of self-love. It's so important to overcome insecurities that cause us to compare ourselves, and so it's time to talk yourself up. Think of this as your daily pep talk! Before you get out of bed every morning say three nice things to yourself out loud or in your head. Examples: "You are incredibly radiant and bright. You light up the whole room. You are brilliant, beautiful, and such a badass!"

I know you may be thinking these practices seem like it's too good to be true but I assure you, if you start making them a daily habit, you will absolutely see positive results. They will help you pause for a few minutes (which we all actually have 'a few minutes' regardless of what we tell ourselves) and help you become intentional with your thoughts and actions. Good Morning Intentions has so many helpful and thoughtful rituals that even the biggest skeptic can find one or two practices to incorporate.
